Spring is here and many will start thinking to get back to exercise and be more active. However is not an easy task to make your body run again or go back to the gym and do full session of hard core exercises all of the sudden!
I’ve been there and here is how I dealt with it.
I was starting to go to the gym and run again after about 6 months that I wasn’t doing any exercise at all. At that time I had a sedentary job and I was feeling more and more miserable because of it. I would just go to work, sit for the 8 hours then go home and feel mentally tired and unsatisfied about my self.
I realised that I had enough of it and all this had to end. My mood was deteriorating and I was gaining weight. It was the wake-up call. I began by taking note of what I was eating every day and how I was feeling emotionally.
Diet
I kept a journal of food, drinks, addictions, emotions and feelings, just like Bridget Jones! I added to my to-buy list the healthy food that I liked and the ones that I knew it was good for my body. I added to my diet more fruits and vegetables, which gave me the vitamins and the healthy sugar; eggs, dairy products, chicken and ham, which was providing me with energy; sparkling water, grapefruits and oranges to help me from dehydration.
