How to Become a British Citizen in 6 Steps
After Brexit happened and the new visa rules came into place, I went through the process of becoming a British Citizenship. Here is my personal experience!
The first criteria to meet is living legally in the UK for 5 years
You must have been physically present in the UK exactly 5 years before the Home Office receives your application. If you apply online, your application will be received on the same day. It will take longer if you apply by post. gov.uk
The complete requirement is to have the settled status for an year before you can apply. Therefore that makes it 6 years living legally in the UK.
Gather the Supporting Documents
- English Test average £150
- Life in the UK Test £50
- Prove that you have been living in the UK for 5 years
- Find 2 strong referees
- Submit the documents and pay £1330
- Book the appointment at UKVCAS for biometrics Free/Paid
