“I’m Afraid of Americans”

Why? who? when? how many? where?
Only In America.
How?
Easily.

Numbers floating in the air
Sirens rushing in the sunlight,
and still Nobody can say it loud and clear,

Humans are not to be trusted with Guns!

Yet, we want to look for the solution in all sorts of wrong places,
Psychanalysis, Instagram, pornography-type of solution.
Stigmatize, control, manipulate,
Jeopardize, mesmerize, guiltify.

Simplemente Besame will heal it all though.

Too many to handle, tv said
Too much pobreza, tv said
Yet still funding wars around the world,
Yet not listening to the people
at Vietnam protests,
at mothers protests,
at black protests.

Chaos of a nation
chasing the reach,
chasing the dollar,
chase card.

Forgetting about the Amazon Fires,
the Maya,
the Native Americans,
the old African wisdom,
the sense of everything,
Forgetting to mention: Humans are not to be trusted with Guns!

Defending the guilty,
Bribing the enemy to testify,
Illegality thread with legality.

For whom I will cook today if there is no child coming back from school? mother says
The child whom was more precious than a diamond,
Raised to be better than the parent in every single way,
To elevate and progress the parents bloodline,
Every single day will follow the same questions,
Why and how this could happen to me.

Kids with princess backpack — kids with shiny and expensive clothes — kids with dreams — kids with ideas — kids with hopes — kids with an open mind

they all want to feel protected.

This spontaneous messy poem is related to the tragedy of the shooting in Texas, 25th May 2022, where kids have lost their life during school time. Owning a gun is too easy and too legal for anyone, especially kids in America. May their souls find peace and may they forgive their perpetrators.

Thank you for reading!
